Install Bonframe and start your first project
Set up the desktop app, prepare local models, and verify a short clip before starting a larger project.
Before you start
Use an Apple Silicon Mac or a Windows computer with a compatible NVIDIA GPU. Check the current download page and the model requirements shown in the app for your exact configuration. The website demonstrates the workflow; install the desktop app to process and export your own footage.
Start with a short, clear clip that represents your normal material. Keep the original video in a folder the app can read and reserve space for models, temporary media and exported versions.
Install and prepare the app
- Download the Mac or Windows installer from the Bonframe download page and install it.
- Open Bonframe and complete the account or license steps required for your edition. Grant access to the folder containing your footage when the operating system requests it.
- Open model settings and prepare the models needed for your task. App installation, AI environments and model downloads are separate operations; a completed app download does not mean every model is ready.
- Wait for the required models to show ready. Keep the computer awake during initial downloads and preparation.
Complete one short project
- Import a local video. Let transcription and indexing finish before searching its content.
- Review the transcript and suggested topics. Select a useful passage, or choose the full video if that is your task.
- Choose translation and a target language. Check the words, names and speaker assignments before generating speech.
- Generate the voice and, if needed, lip sync. Play the result with sound and check each visible speaker.
- Export the reviewed result and open the saved file to confirm picture, sound and duration.
If the first run takes longer
The first task may also load models or prepare an environment. Later runs can reuse installed models and indexes. Do not use a first-run download as a processing-speed benchmark.
- A missing-model message: return to model settings and check that model, not just the app update status.
- An unreadable-file message: confirm the file still exists and grant folder access.
- A queued task: check whether another local task is already using the device.
