Terms of Service

1. Provider and acceptance

The services are provided by Bonframe Technology Limited (trading as Bonframe), with its principal place of business at Unit B53, 2F, Kwai Shing Industrial Building Phase 1, 36-40 Tai Lin Pai Road, Kwai Chung, Hong Kong. By downloading, purchasing, activating, or using Bonframe, you agree to these Terms and confirm that you are contracting with Bonframe Technology Limited.

If you use Bonframe for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization. Continued use of the website or software constitutes acceptance of these Terms.

2. Product and license

Bonframe is local-first video software for editing, translation, dubbing, voice synthesis, lip sync, and reviewable redaction. Where available in your version, dialogue editing may generate speech that differs from the original recording. Features may vary by operating system, license, model pack, and deployment mode.

A purchase grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the software under the purchased plan and seat count. You may not resell, sublicense, reverse engineer (except where mandatory law allows), bypass license controls, or use the software unlawfully.

Bonframe and its licensors retain all intellectual property rights in the software, documentation, models we supply, branding, and related materials. These Terms do not transfer ownership of that IP to you.

3. Acceptable use

Our Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these Terms. User declarations are not verified authorization or automated content moderation.

You must not misuse the website or software, including: unlawful use; fraud, spam, or deceptive practices; infringement of intellectual property or privacy rights; uploading malware; probing, scraping, or interfering with security or availability; or attempting to circumvent billing, licensing, or access controls.

You retain any rights you hold in the media and instructions you provide. You are responsible for obtaining the rights and permissions needed to process that material, synthesize or clone a voice, edit dialogue or a likeness, and publish or share the resulting content. Ownership of a recording or a copyright license does not by itself establish permission to clone the depicted person’s voice or make them appear to say different words.

Obtain valid consent from the affected individual where required, including separate consent where applicable for voice or likeness editing. The consent must cover the intended use and publication of the result. Do not use a minor’s voice or likeness without the permissions and safeguards required by applicable law, including parental or guardian authorization where required.

Do not use Bonframe for unauthorized impersonation, fraud, fabricated endorsements or statements presented deceptively as authentic, harassment, defamation, non-consensual intimate content, or other unlawful infringement of another person’s rights. An authorized creative or fictional production remains subject to applicable law and disclosure requirements.

AI outputs may be inaccurate, omit information, or alter meaning. Before publishing, sharing, or relying on an output, review the words, speaker assignment, voice, lip sync, edits, and redactions. You are responsible for your instructions and your use or distribution of the result. A generated output is not proof that the depicted person actually said those words, consented, or endorsed the content. Bonframe does not replace legal, compliance, medical, or professional judgment.

Follow applicable AI-content labeling and platform disclosure requirements. A paid export without a Bonframe branding watermark does not remove those obligations. Do not unlawfully remove or falsify AI-content labels or provenance information. We do not promise that outputs are unalterable, always detectable, or fully traceable.

4. Payments, renewals, and Merchant of Record

Prices, billing periods, included seats, maintenance, and deliverables are shown on the pricing and checkout pages.

For eligible card and certain online purchases, Polar Software, Inc. (Polar) acts as Merchant of Record. Polar handles payment collection, applicable taxes, receipts, and buyer payment support under the Polar Checkout Buyer Terms. For those transactions, your payment contract for the purchase is with Polar as Merchant of Record, while the software license and product relationship remain with Bonframe Technology Limited.

Business card, invoice, purchase-order, and bank-transfer purchases may be processed by Airwallex as payment service provider. Invoice details and receipts follow what is shown at checkout.

Perpetual licenses cover the purchased major version as described at checkout. Optional maintenance or subscriptions renew only according to the terms displayed before purchase. License credentials and download access are delivered electronically.

5. Availability, suspension, and termination

We may update the software to improve security, compatibility, models, and features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance of optional online services, or compatibility with every device, codec, model, or third-party service.

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, chargeback misuse, unlawful use, or repeated or serious policy violations. Provisions that by nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

To report suspected misuse, unauthorized voice or likeness use, or a rights violation, contact [email protected] with sufficient details to identify the issue. We may investigate and take proportionate action within services we control, subject to applicable law. Local processing does not give us automatic access to your projects or the ability to recall files already exported or distributed.

6. Warranty and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the software is provided “as is” and “as available.” Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bonframe Technology Limited excludes liability for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss. Subject to that law, we are not responsible for harm arising from your unlawful instructions, lack of required permissions, or deceptive use or distribution of outputs.

These limitations do not exclude or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury where applicable. They do not waive third-party rights or remove our own obligations under applicable law. Your review or acceptance of an output does not make unlawful content lawful.
